About Rebecca
Rebecca (Becky) Thomas is a counsellor who helps people make sense of difficult feelings. She has eight years' experience supporting people with stress, anxiety, grief, trauma and a wide range of other concerns. Becky works in a warm, non-judgemental way so clients can speak freely at their own pace.
Becky trained in Person-Centred therapy, also called Client-Centred therapy, and holds membership of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
How Rebecca works
She also has graduate membership of the British Psychological Society, having completed a BSc (Hons) in Psychology that was accredited by the BPS. Her background includes placements in an NHS GP practice, work with imprisoned women in a high-security prison, and a mental health charity in an area with high social need.
These varied roles gave experience with a wide range of life challenges and mental health presentations. In sessions Becky focuses on listening, reflecting and helping people access their own resources.
She aims to offer practical tools alongside a calm, empathetic space to talk about things like self-esteem, addiction, relationship and intimacy concerns, eating and sleeping problems, parenting strains, career stress and coping with life changes. Becky offers therapy to people in the United Kingdom and internationally in English.
Sessions use a subscription model that can be cancelled at any time and are scheduled to suit the client's needs. To begin, a short matching questionnaire is completed and sessions are arranged according to therapist availability.

Online support options
Client-Centred therapy and online access
Client-Centred therapy focuses on creating an accepting, non-judgemental space where the client guides the conversation and the counsellor offers empathic listening and reflection. This approach is useful for emotional concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem and relationship difficulties because it helps people feel heard and supported while they make sense of their feelings.Becky’s background in Person-Centred practice means she places emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and on helping clients discover their own strengths. Finding the right approach is part of the work together - she will discuss goals and preferences and adapt the way she works to suit each person’s needs in a collaborative way.
Online therapy offers practical flexibility. Video calls are helpful for a face-to-face feel, phone sessions work well when bandwidth is limited, live chat suits shorter check-ins or people who prefer writing, and text-based messaging supports ongoing, asynchronous contact. These options make it easier to fit therapy around work, caregiving or different time zones while keeping the therapeutic focus central.
